I welcome conversations about other people joining my Research Group! If you are interested in pursuing a graduate degree or post-doctoral research related to the human dimensions of natural resources, please don't hesitate to get in touch. I also support research experiences for undergraduates in a social science lab environment and would be more than happy to have a conversation about our shared interests. An educational experience through my research program would provide you with exposure to state-of-the art methodologies, theories, and technologies for managing human-environment interactions in diverse land use contexts. I take a team-based approach to science so you would find many opportunities for collaborating with people from different disciplinary backgrounds and with the shared goal of solving complex, social-ecological problems.

If you are interested in applying to study with me, please take a look at the publications that have emerged from my previous research and give some thought to the types of questions you might want to pursue. Then, please send a brief description of your research interests, CV and GRE scores to cvanripe@illinois.edu. I’d be delighted to talk about how I might be able to assist you in accomplishing your professional goals.

I currently have an open post-doctoral research associate position. Please click here for more information.
